Nokia’s new Android smartphones to be released in Q4 2016
Nokia’s First Android Smartphones Could Arrive By End Of 2016 Recently, we had reported that Nokia is planning to launch two Android Nougat smartphones before the end of this year. According to a new report, the Finnish company plans to launch several smartphones and tablets by the end of this year. Nokia executive Mike Wang, president of the joint management team in China, has confirmed the news to local site ThePaper that three or four new Nokia-branded Android devices are set to be unveiled in the fourth quarter of 2016. These devices will be split between new smartphone and tablet launches. However, the devices may not hit the market until early next year. The upcoming products will be designed by the HMD Group, which comprises of ex-Nokia and ex-Microsoft employees. For those unfamiliar, Nokia sold its handset business to Microsoft a couple of years ago, and recently Microsoft sold the feature phone business to Foxconn.
